In Yin Yoga, we don't use our muscles to hold a pose; we use the pose to access the deep, quiet architecture of the bodies fascia and joints. By finding our "edge" of sensation and holding our shapes for up to five minutes, we move beyond the physical. When stressing the connective tissue, energy channels blocked by emotional debris or physical tension begin to soften. In the profound stillness of this Yin practice it’s common to experience a deep emotional release. This alchemical practice is designed to help clear pathways so your yang energy can find your way to have a grounding balance.
